I like how you are depicting the later style, angled wooden deck; you can't exactly do that with the Nautilus Models deck because of the pre-arranged deck cleats. EDIT: I since learned that Nautilus makes a post 13-C Wooden Angled deck with the pad eye tie down thingies. FWIW, i had to do a lot of tweaking with the main gear struts on my Hasegawa Crusader, because it didn't look like it was sitting exactly level when viewed head-on. I think in the case of the landing gear, those little plastic grommets hurt more than helped.
