Homebee
A2Zee is preparing in the Alley Cat range (?) 1/48th Gloster Meteor F.Mk.4 and T.Mk.7 resin conversion sets. NF. variants being also looked at. Conversion sets for Tamiya Meteor F.Mk.III or Airfix F.Mk.8? Source: http://www.alleycatmodels.co.uk/ To be followed Quote (...) Plus maybe the odd conversion for the new 1/48 Meteor! (Mk4 and 7 are underway, NFs being looked at)(...) Quote (...) in 1/48 the grey resin parts of the new Meteor Mk4 (clear still en route).(...) Work In Progress
It says "the new Meteor" so has to be the Airfix F.8. No-one would call the Tamiya kit "new". Furthermore, if the F.4 conversion contains clear parts that proves it's for the Airfix kit because an F.4 has the same canopy as an F.3, but a different one from an F.8
JeffreyK
Good news! A T.7 has been on my "want" list for quite some time - there are a few aeroplanes I think look (even) better as two-seaters and the Meteor is one of them. The Classic Airframes kit is old and rare and therefore in my opinion way too expensive for what you get compared to today's standard. I was actually starting to think about making a T.7 myself someday... J
Work In Progress
I like the T.7 too. Might leave the 8 tail on it because the late tail variant, sometimes known as the T.7.5 , is the Meteor project I would have if I were a Euromillions winner.

Mike Esposito
The Mk IV is the best looking meteor version IMHO. Will definitely get this one.

I'll tell you what, with the PR9 nose the Alleycat F4 tail and the easy addition of a couple of rounded wingtips you are more than well on your way to a PR10! 71chally
Did this set ever get released? I'm probably going to sound like a broken record now, but it amazes me what isn't available for some kits.

Admiral Puff
Oh dear, just after I finished converting the Classic Airframes F.4 to a U.15 ... Now he needs to get cracking on the T.7!
SleeperService
Just been ploughing through my notebooks of things to remember. No reply from Alleycat. Which is a tad annoying. Has anybody got an F.4 conversion yet? There's a GB that I can put an Argentine F4 into IF I get the conversion
Admiral Puff
It's still showing on the website, and still without a price. I take it from that that it's a way off yet (SOB!). And Selwyn, that's exactly what I had in mind for one of mine ...
