Norseman 3:16
Hi Everybody, I am a 'returning' modeller and am loving finding out all the new methods that are around. I have bought the Pegasus Nautilus kit and am keen to get started. A quick question - In the first panel of the instructions it asks for two holes to be drilled in the hull parts A1 and A2. Can anybody tell me why are they needed? What size should they be? And precisely where should they be? Maybe I am just being thick - if so, I apologise. Thanks in anticipation for any help at all. spruecutter96
Hi, Norseman. Are there no "guide" holes moulded into the back of the part? This is essentially a hole which only penetrates the plastic to around half its total depth. The makers normally put these guide holes in when the item you are attaching is an optional extra and is not essential to the build (so you can produce different versions of the subject). If there are no guide holes, take a look at the pins on the part to be attached and use them as your guide to the required hole-size. Hope this helps. Chris. Dave Batt
Did this kit not get covered as a "Work in Progress" thread?
Norseman 3:16
Thanks Chris - I did have a look and found the guide holes (must wear specs next time).
