1/48 Kinetic BAe Sea Harrier FRS.1 No 800 NAS HMS Hermes 1982

Lovely weathering and one of the best SHARS I can remember, just one small thing caught my eye, - the wheels. They don't all contact the deck and they're not weighted, it makes the model very tippy toe and just takes away from an otherwise very convincing build.

Just one observation, I remember these aircraft being quiteĀ glossy;

Your left tail plane seems to have taken a knock too while handling it,......but please don`t think I`m having a go,.....far from it,...... it is one of the best SHAR models that I have seen!Ā

Fair point but I've found that even if the real aircraft is glossy, a glossy or even semi gloss coat doesn't work on a small model.

Lovely warn and faded look without been "weathered" to death. I did the ol' Matchbox SHAR1 as a Falklands veteran and also hand painted over the markings, similarly my brush work was "too good" :D
