Maybe some of the other guys here can help.(Graham, Nick) Stefaan Possibly the synthetic enamel No.1 gloss Red 33B/366 to DTD 260A (Pigmented Oil Varnishes and Primer for metals and timber) intended to be brush painted. Not quite as strong as modern Post Office Red but slightly more "orange" - closer to BS381 37/537 Signal Red. Closest FS 595 is 11120.
