Hello Ron @f111guru

This one's for you....

any inspiration ??

sincerely.

It is but that type of supercharger is way outside my budget. I have gathered 3 small block chevy motors over the years. One is a 4 bolt main and that one I'm trying to get in the neighborhood of 600+ ponies on pump gas. One of the other ones will be a low compression and will build with a street supercharger that's within my budget. My biggest problem is no one does machine work anymore. The one shop has a contract with Cummins diesel and has zero spare time or space. So thank you for the thought.

All The Best,

Looking good CC, I am a new revisitor to this part of the forum as not looked at cars for quite a while, but have two special projects that I will be starting sometime soon.

Great work so far on the Chevy, always wanted one of these as a youngster, but when I had the pocket money saved up there were none left in the shop and wanting to spend my hard earned money came out with a Chevy Nomad instead. Now it's just VWs for me.

 Thanks Chris...

VW is well represented in models too, unless you were speaking of 1/1 models ??

IRL, saying that VAG is over represented on our streets is a clear understatement....

IMG_20210601_231915

Door latches are done, windows cranks are left to do....

Some bit of painting too...

And Chrome, chrome and more chrome.... That's what we like after all !!

And not the contraptions we use to drive on everyday basis...

Today's cars are soul less, you have to read what it is on the driving wheel....

IMG_20210601_231937

I can sing that...

It's my favourite crayon....

More to come soon...

Sincerely.

Looking good CC , those chrome pens look fantastic,  gonna have to get me one of these when I see one.

Vws in models form and 1:1 too, my Avatar shows my car.  It's a shame no one makes a model of it yet and my scratch skills aren't that good yet.

GreT work on the Chevy fella.

Wait wait wait,

I'm not sure but I think that the Variant version has been issued moons ago...

I think it was Revell for a polizei or ADAC version...

The Variant....

Atrocious rememberance, my old man got one in the '70

The heating system was jammed on hot...

And we traveled my parents and 6 kids...

A real moving sauna...

That was the time....

Sincerely.

Interesting,  I didn't know there was a Variant kit, will have to check that out.  That will have been hot in there with the heating stuck on  crikey, my heater is really toasties and when on it is very warm the two pre heat boxes are bigger and more efficient than a bug so you get good heat, not that she goes out in the winter! She leads a very pampered life and is parked in a carpeted, insulated garage, she is 54 yrs old though!!!

Oh yeah, these grandma need a bit more of care...

Did you see my post about my colleague's car restoration ??

IMG_20210514_104849

Well for my part, Fixing it is, far less old but sometimes....

As boring as an old car....

When you get this....

IMG_20210602_154246

Damned Torx screws....

Sure that it will raise eyebrows for my other colleague @perdu

On with getting the gearbox out...

IMG_20210602_154255

More light and pleasant...

I created the window's cranks...

IMG_20210602_213943

and glued it in place....

IMG_20210603_003058

See you tomorrow Gents, since today is a night off with my missus....

We badly need it...

Sincerely.

Ouch

If you believe the rubbish you see on Faceache you'd believe there's a tool for that....

As you probably know the Vehicles non military section is one I only enter to deposit my own rubbish/foo-fah/stuff then run away so I am ashamed to realise there are so many brilliant projects I have been unaware of.

Like this one.

Nasty bodywork damage on the bonnet, good job you are at the day job on the model, rescuing the car in danger, looks good mon ami.

Hello Dears !!

Here I'm back after a day off !!

Bonnet is fixed...

IMG_20210605_002720

But I owe to the truth to say that this kit is really BORING me...

The flashiest kit ever...

IMG_20210604_224024

Wifey has a sort of sixth sense to find some good hotels at a fine price....

But when I entered this one, I got a BIG surprise....

Here's the place...

IMG_20210603_143614

When I entered in, I felt something strange in my guts....

Then I see this....

IMG_20210603_143458

So a huge thank you to Mrs CC...

She seem to be pleased to act as a queen !!

IMG_20210603_194721

I will keep carrying on with the Chevy unless she got back to the shelf of doom....

Sincerely

CC

You spent the night in style CC! That looks fabulous. The Ardennes is a beautiful region. Luckily we don't live that far away and visit often.

Hello Dears,

No more modelling because my great dane has another problem

One can see it on my Corsair's thread... I'll not repeat it here...

Even in these dire straits I got a bit of luck...

I was working on the road side and crossed the path of this old dame....

IMG_20210613_130315

Well, the color of the car is quite good !!

I choosed something that look like the original one...

I took some pics so I share it here...

IMG_20210613_130356 IMG_20210613_130308

More to come soon....

If IRL let loose a bit...

Sincerely.

Thanks Chris,

Nokya stayed beside me when I was modelling this evening.

She stay normal, improving a bit, we must feed her bit by bit all along the day.....

So, she is begging all the day long, she used to eat a bit less than 2 pounds of meat 5 days a week...

But we cannot give her her ration in one shot, the stomach cannot be filled up for 4 more days....

I sincerely thank you for the support !

I worked on my Chevy, my Phantom and the Corsairs today...

IMG_20210615_234348

Krystal clear for the dashboard and tail lights...

Lots of touches of paint here and there...

And I think that the Chrome parts can be called done... At last...

IMG_20210615_234411

These pencils are definitely adopted...

It really ease the job...

RFI is nearing, that will be my first car kit finished since .... Huh 1983

Am I that old ??? OMG !! Yes I'm :clif::clif:

More to come soon Gents !!

Sincerely.

Hello Dears,

A bit more done yesterday...

Interior is done to me...

Of course, I laid an easter egg.... Same kind than the sarnie and bottle of rum in the shagbat....

IMG_20210616_231036 IMG_20210616_231026

Adding some empty beer cans to add realism ??

More to come soon...

Hello Dears,

Strange enough, this old AMT plastic seem to refuse the glue...

When I put the wheels on tha axle, the rear axle opened up....:rant:

So, I know what to do on sunday evening....

Then it's a wheel that did the same on the front axle....

So I stopped all activities and put the car in the shelf....

More to come soon...

I hope that thunderstorm did'nt affect you...

They are coming up here now...

We'll see...

Happy modelling week end...

Sincerely.

Hello Dears,

More rear axle problems now...

I must confess that the whole thing was about to be test crashed when I saw this...

I have the right rear wheel that jam one body.....

So, I have to cut the metal rod moved the wheel 2 mm on the inside....

:rant::rant::rant:

I let the Chevy down for some days, I suppose that something else will get loose in the process

I will calm down a bit before....

Sincerely.

Looks like you were having a fine time before you hit your axel snag dear boy. The paint work is looking rather fine indeed🙌. Lucky find on the real one too.

I hope Nokya is feeling a little better after her operation and I hope you get to grips with this beauty. Another fine CC RFI is incoming no doubt.

Thanks Johnny, Nokya is going the right way but slowly...

She's got Physiotherapy sessions, walking on a running mat in the water... Trying to keep her balance on a moving deck and so on....

She's improving step by step.

Thanks for your support, it is warmly appreciated, Memsahib is thanking you too.

I will finish this thing before I get a nervous breakdown.

Sincerely.
