tiking
I am working on the old MPC Tie-Interceptor kit, which is an OK kit but terrible fit. The snap procedure instructions plan was not really thought out properly. Anyway. I had gotten paint of the front canopy or hexagon windows. So, I read somewhere, where someone used nail polisher remover to remove paint from clear canopies. I guess, he was the lucky one. My got horribly cloudy. Now, it looks terrible. This is an old kit and not easy to get at times. But I would like to know, if there is any way I can get this back to its original state? Or am I doomed? Madhatter
What's the deal with the back of it?? It looks very weird. Is it filled with something? Personally, I would make a mold of it and re-cast it in clear resin. A single piece like that should be simple enough to do
tiking
It's cloudy after using the nail polish remover. It's completely tinted. I think the plastic was reacting to the nail polish or whatever chemical that was in it. I guess, I will just throw the darn thing away and come up with something.
