looks more than interesting!

just the other day i thought that there is no kit in 1/48 of the Mangusta at all! and that there only is a very old/inaccurate one of the Tiger/ Tigre .. hint!!

hope they do not spend to much time on the M197 gun barrels, at it is available in perfect form already from Master ;)

Thanks for your interest. Naturally the barrel of the gun metal TM197B from other manufacturers may be added by the modeler if desired or deemed necessary.

Hi!

thanks for the quick answer!

as I understand it, the AW-129D is a modified version of the latest A-129 of the Italian Army? there were several  versions of the A-129, starting without the M197 cannon and only 4 rotor blades as the A-129A.... and then there is the T-129 in several versions......

all the best with the project!

looking forward any news on progress!

Currently the Italian Army operates with two variants of the A129. The A129C variant (which uses only Tow missiles) and the variant D (which uses Spike missiles). most of the C version will be converted into D. The A129 was born with 4 blades, but they are many years that all Mangusta have 5 blades and TM197B gun (lighter variant of the Ah1 Cobra M197)

that looks close already!

will it be molded or 3d printed?

My final model will have the main parts printed in resin (including transparencies). Other parts will be printed in 3d.
