jonf45
Hi, bought this Fujimi 1:72 Phantom FG1 a while back off ebay and thought id give it a bash! Finished as XT865/U of 111 Squadron, RAF Leuchars, mid-80s, in "triple Air Defence grey". Really good kit, and i love the rubber tyres A bit of license used with the decals as i thought i had a larger 111 tail emblem lurking around somewhere but i cant find it so had to use the smaller one from the kit. Built OOB, hand painted, and then weathered to make it look like a standard filthy machine nearing the en of its RAF life! Duncan B
Ah ha! I believe I just commented on this lovely Toom on a certain F-4 FB page an hour ago. It looks even better on my computer screen. I really must get mine finished! Duncan B
huvut76g7gbbui7
Always nice to see something from the Scottish Air Force. I really miss Leuchars as I have fond memories as it as a real fighter base. Thanks for sharing.

Booty003
A very smart looking Phantom. I think the 111 Sqn markings look fantastic. I love the phrase 'colouring in' as well, made me chuckle!! Phil
eng
Very nice, I've not long finished a 111 Sqn FGR.2 from the Fujimi kit and they are still brilliant kits for a RAF Phantom. My next one an FG.1 will be in the same colours as yours but from the "other Leuchars team"! This has just served as good inspiration to get going with it. Nice work, Rgds, Eng

jean
Hi Jon, you have achieved a beautifully, disgustingly dirty F-4, and for this feat you are to be congratulated! It is always a scary moment, when one decides to mess around with a perfectly pristine kit. But you did good! Well done!!! JR
