Tamiya 1/32 Birdcage Corsair "Daphne" (another one)

Completely out of the box and I enjoyed every single bit of it except the horrible metal seat belts and they really should give us pre-cut masks for the price!  Painted with Vallejo now I've discovered I need to thin them with their airbrush cleaner rather than their thinners!  The subject is a bit of a cliche by now but a lovely excuse for some unsubtle weathering with AK Interactive enamels.  So enjoyable I want to do the bubble top version right away.

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful work!  I tend to prefer the look of the Birdcage version over the later canopy type for some reason.

I have Tamiya's 1/72 Birdcage and your big-scale build whets my appetite to get it built.

:goodjob:

Nice job Notty:)

I didn't realize those cowling panels fit that nicely. Or did they require much work?

Can't wait to see your F-4U 1D with "bubble top" canopy.

Best Regards,

Antti

Antti, I can tell you 100% that they fit perfectly!  I continue to be amazed by Tamiya and I'm addicted to these big 1/32 beasts and I can't wait to see what's coming next.  Thank you all for the generous words too.
