Holy moley! I've run out of likes liking all your likes. Thankyou so much for all the kindness. If it wasn't for you guys on BM I'd still be making Tamiya kits and nothing more. You guys really have opened me up to a whole new modelling world. Thanks for that.B)

Fantastic photos old chap! It looks ready to take off :pilot: .

Best it doesn't as, if it follows history's course, it'll land awkwardly in a turnip field :o. It's far too pretty for that!

Well, not so much pretty, as downright mean looking, ready for a dogfight with a Spit, Hurricane or Farley Fruitbat .

All this began with a glass of ale and a caravan :). Absolutely marvellous.

:goodjob:

Epic build log, and a stellar result. Even allowing for the fact that larger scale models almost invite extras and embellishments to be added, the level of added detail here is crazy!

An absolutely brilliant build John!

I've been silently following along on your build log and watching with quiet awe!

You've really done a cracking job and brought this Airfix classic to life!

Look forward to seeing what you build next! B)

Hi Jonny Camra,

I hope that you enjoyed a (proper) beer or 2 to celebrate a fantastic build, what a cracker!

Tempted (oh so tempted) to try a 1/24 myself but where to put it....

Once or twice I wondered where you were going on this but by heck, it turned out a beauty.....brilliant use of 3D printing by the way

Looking forward to the Tiffy build....for once I shall be in at the beginning

Cheers

Geoff

Right, now that's out of the way (and excellent thread and end result, might I add), assume you're planning on the equally ancient 1/24 Spit and Hurri?! Should keep you busy for the rest of the year...

Ha! Thanks. Yes I have the Hurricane. Maybe later in the year.

Veeeery nice job, I really like that paint scheme !

Is'nt a Stuka from Airfix at that same scale ?

I remember making one, in the '70,  still must have some interior parts in a box on the attic...

That will be a good next one ? Did'nt it

Congratulations, I look at her with a tiny bit of jealousy...

Sincerely.

What a beautiful ship! Amazed you've got the old airfix giant looking so classy. I built their 1/24 Stuka about 40y ago this makes me want to do it again.
