Sorry Ragtag there is not a WIP, I do not feel confident enough yet to do one, although it would make a good subject.

Shame, would've liked to see the radar take shape :)

If you need to build confidence have a look at how cack my WIPs are ;)

Great build.  I remember it in the flight shed when I worked at WHL

Yeovil or Weston-s-Mare ? I was at both on and off 94-2000

Have you considered doing it again with a modern Airfix moulding, it's stunning

Thank you very much Bill, praise indeed coming from a fine modeller such as yourself. I haven't given it any thought to be honest but I have rather fancied doing XV651 fitted with a Seaspray radar for trials and development work and a modern Airfix offering may just be the ticket. It would look good next to XZ570 at the shows but it won't for a while as once I have finished the MA4 ( yes, that slow burner) I am looking at doing a variation on Lancaster PA474, which I shall do as a WIP.

I will enjoy seeing the Lanc but as a proper rotary fan I am just bursting for you to tackle  the Seaspray one

I have the Airfix HC4 which I'm tempted to finish in her tatty multi shades of green look the way she was when I wandered round her at Brunty a few years back

How's that for a killer project?

Seriously tempted I tell you  :)

Well, 50 shades of green is a natural progression from the 50 shades of grey you are currently tackling and with your visit to Brunty you should have lots of research material to draw from.

And; ... seeing as you asked so nicely my next whirly job shall be the Seaspray Sea King.

Here's to all things Sea King-ie 🍻
