Just be aware that aircraft registration codes are more likely to be re-issued than, say, road vehicles.  A valid, modern, code may, or may not, have been used in the pre-war era

Visited the DH museum last year got to sit in the sea vixen heres a few pictures of the tub. If they aren't any use I can take them down. Also got a few of the mosquitos including the prototype outside. As well a the FB with both it's engines on display. So if anyone needs any just ask.

Can anyone answer my query about the colour of Mosquito main wheel bays?

The 1/48 Tamiya B Mk 4 kit has you paint the roof interior green and the sides and doors aluminium. Looked online I found a walkround that showed that the bay was all interior green except for the engine bulkhead. But then I found another that was painted exactly as per the Tamiya       instructions. So which is right? Or are they both right?

The bmkiv and the prototype at Salisbury hall both have interior green tops with ali sides. I don't have any good one photos of the FB W.Ws but I think that's the same aswell. I believe the vast majority are aluminium sides and green tops. But at the end of the day it's down to you and what takes your fancy.

Thanks Josh that's 2-1 for green top ally sides now so I guess Tamiya got it right.

You're more than welcome Bob, I have other close-up Tiger Moth pictures if anybody wants further details.  I'm afraid I've not visited Britmodeller for a while so missed the start of this GB though I have a 1/32nd civilian Tiger Moth in build at the moment, but with the main fuselage closed up and the lower wings attached it may be judged to be beyond the 25% limit:

 

 

however there's still a heck of a way to go from my point of view!

By sheer coincidence, this month edition of Scale Modelling is devoted to the Mosquito! Very interesting stuff in there, in fact its made me change my mind about which colour scheme to use on my Mossie!
