Plasto
Hi, I occasionally build the odd bit of armour pretty much exclusively in 1/48 and the odd. It in Braille scale. For 2017 I thought I'd have a stab at 1/35 and have ended up with a Tamiya T-62. I know it has Accuracy issues and I also know it's been surpassed by the Trumpeter kits. But I thought I'd give it a go. The question I have is I'd like to have a go with some AM tracks. Mainly for the experience. Does anyone have any recommendations? I understand that the Tamiya drive sprockets might not be compatible with some AM sets. Any advice greatfully recieved. Cheers Plasto
demiles
Spade Ace do a set about £22: link http://www.hobbyeasy.com/en/data/rm6ucj1bl1qb2nfndppw.html and friulmodel about £22 also: link http://www.hobbyeasy.com/en/data/28868.html I personally prefer metal links as it lends weight to the model and they also have a natural sag. Plasto
Thanks for that. Does anyone know if the fruil tracks will happily fit over the stock Tamiya T-62A Sprockets??
IroningMan
I'm building one at the moment: the Friul T-54/55/T-62 tracks (35001) fit the standard Tamiya sprockets absolutely fine.
Plasto
Thanks for that... I have made a start on mine also and took a chance and ordered the fruil tracks.. so good to know they will fit... I've been machining the mould lines off of the main wheels as a starter.. Foxbat
I bookmarked this for a build I had planned but never got round to. You might find it useful http://hyperscale.com/features/2002/t62jr_1.htm
