So, what are you doing at 1045 on Monday?

I first read this book about fifty years ago.

When I heard the ad for the show today I

found myself driving along with my jaw agape!

I am SO looking forward to this!

No, don't panic!

(Oh no, that was something else entirely).

It's like the Phillip K Dick stories - they only use them for inspiration... such a shame because they are just so good.

You wonder how "We can remember it for you Wholesale" ended up as Total Recall...

You are going to hate me for this, but I prefer the new version over the Arnie one. I know we lost some of the subtlety of the story and yet again MAJOR changes were made (like Arnie at least went to Mars), but if they are going to change stuff then at least they really changed stuff.

Mind you I suppose it is like saying 'Running Man was based on the book!

Really looking forward to 'Ready Player One' movie though (Ernest Cline book is excellent).

Listening to this.....Cheers Pete!  :coolio:

And not a single Audi to be seen.

PS - Not all of Dick's stuff gets screwed up, I was well impressed with Linklater's effort:

I reckon he did it about as well as could have been hoped for given the materiel he was working with.  ;)

Three episodes down, two to go.

Overall I've enjoyed them. They only have

fifteen minutes to tell the tale so they've done

pretty good. I must admit I was expecting Asimovs

characters (Dr Susan Calvin etc) to show up but again,

Stevie Byerley is a fresh approach and maybe helps to

speed things along.

At least this is getting the genre out there and may do some good.

I'd love to see an anime quality version of the stories, for instance.
