Hi.
It's been awhile since the last update.
And that's no way to finish some old stalled builds.
So I've done some more matt coat on the SMB.2

And the ordnance in form of two 250kg bombs are taking form.

The kit doesn't have any sway braces, but I borrowed some from an Eduard MiG-21 kit.

To be continued.....

Hi.
It's been a long while since I've touched my stalled Six days War builds.
But yesterday I actually did some work on the SMB2.

The resin bombs from Isradecal have got some satin varnish.

Wheels and wheel covers are in place.

A pair of 1.300l droptanks have been added.

I've now promised my self that all the stalled builds that are cluttering my worktable will be my summer project.

I just wondering how long I can resist the urge to start a new one.... :D

Hi.

Some more work has been done to the SMB.2

The nose gear covers are in place.

Some small bits have been added to the fuselage.

And the aircraft is now armed with 2 250kg bombs.

The tail planes are in place.

And with that it's almost finished.
I got some pitot tube, ejection seat, control stick, canopy and some other small things to add.
But I've only got this afternoon left to do some building before me and the family goes on vaccation to Germany for a week. And I don't think I'll manage to finish it tonight.
But when we get back from Germany I'll finish it, and then concentrate on the other stalled builds in this thread.

To be continued.....

Hi.
I had some additional days off work after the family vacction to Germany last week.
And I spent them with finishing the SMB.2
Not my best build, but it'll do until a new kit in 1/48 comes along.

This is the result.

And with this finished I'll concentrate on the Hawker Hunter.

Very nice to see your finished SMB2! Agree that a new 1/48 kit would be most welcome as well - perhaps Special Hobby will treat us once their 1/72 version sells well?
