Homebee
More about - ref. 72309 - Ka-25Ts "Hormone-B" Source: http://acemodel.com.ua/en/model/722 Quote Catalogue number72309 Scale: 1/72 Model state: Soon Weapons and equipment: Aviation Period: Post WWII Description: Ka-25Ts Hormone-B search and rescue (SAR) Soviet Naval Helicopter - the "Ka-25" -- first observed in public at the Paris Air Show in 1967. It is actually somewhat unclear if there ever really was a "Ka-20"; certainly there was a prototype that got the name "Harp", but some sources hint the Ka-20 designation was a Soviet cover or a Western fiction. The "Ka-25PS" AKA NATO "Hormone-C", a utility transport / search and rescue (SAR) variant. It was similar to the Ka-25PL (Anti-Submarine). Hormone-B (Ka-25TS) - special electronics version, providing over-the-horizon target acquisition for ship-launched cruise missiles including SS-N-3B from "Kresta I" cruisers, SS-N-12 from "Kiev" and "Slava" class cruisers, SS-N-19 from battle cruisers Kirov and Frunze, and SS-N-22 from "Sovremenny" class destroyers. "Kiev" and "Kirov" class ships each carry three "Hormone-Bs", other classes one; larger undernose radome (NATO "Big Bulge") than Ka-25BSh, with spherical undersurface; cylindrical radome under rear cabin for datalink; when radar operates, all landing gear wheels can retract upward to minimise interference to emissions. Hewy
I have the ka-25 ps search/ rescue version of this smashing looking kit, and if anyone is interested you can build the anti-submarine version from the box, with one caveat, the box markings are only search and rescue white/red top versions, printscale are supposed to be bringing a decal sheet out shortly which will give more options though

Borisz
I lost in the woods, do we have anti-submarine version now?
Hewy
1 hour ago, Borisz said: I lost in the woods, do we have anti-submarine version now? Borisz ,You can build the anti submarine version from the the search and rescue version ,the parts are there , as you can see in the instructions the "sar" ka-25ps boxing , bort 25,was originally an anti submarine variant ,unfortunately the decals are not present for the ka -25pl, although you would only need alternate bort numbers for a soviet machine, hope this helps
James G
Nice to see another variant. I have the S&R version and it's a very good kit, although the instructions are confusing with lettered sub-assembly sequences and a distinct lack of colour call-outs for the internal bits.
