Dmitry Stelmakh
Hello! This is one of my model. I did it at 2015. It is difficult kit. I used a lot of putty. Canopy was made of transparent packaging. Native canopy did not fit the model. I used MR color paints. Weathering- oil dots, salt dots, pigments and washes. Simon Cornes
What a great model! I love the canopy and note the reflex curves on the canopy and side screens, must have been very difficult to vac form that but the effort was really worthwhile as the result is superb! Bell209
Very nice job! Don't often see that aircraft modelled, either.
Squibby
I really like the panel highlighting on the black. It gives the whole thing a nice dusty used look. Interesting subject as well, Good Job!
Lightningboy2000
You really have made a stunning model out of what mus have been a pig of a kit. Yes, that canopy is really nice as well. I would like to know how you managed to make that. Very authentic weathering! Martin

Niles
A great looking model of a really ugly airplane from what probably wasn't the most user friendly kit. Congratulations on making a new canopy.
NickR
Very nicely done! Great build, paint job and weathering. You've made a less than attractive aircraft into a great model.
Dmitry Stelmakh
Thanks for all the positive comments!Weathering is not very difficult . It was my first experience to do weathering in black modelI used a few black shades, sand washes and sand pigment.

WildeSau75
Really like your build - the paint finish is top notch. Also like the clean, self made canopy - very nice. Cheers, Michael
SpeedyGonzales
Looks very nice in terms of paint job and weathering. For info purposes, the conduits on both sides of the fuselages are installed for electrical wiring used during a test and do not exist on operational aircraft. Sword mistakenly seems to have picked that exceptional aircraft as a reference.
ROBOT
What a cool & convincing Black Finish! What product did you use for the wash ?! Thanks for sharing, Olli
Ali62
I really like this, a convincing looking model, I am also interested how you did the canopy for this as the kit option is very awkward, so do let us know the finish techniques and how you did the canopy. Dmitry Stelmakh
Thank you for comments and additional Information ))) For wash I used production kf MIG. Canopy consists of three parts. The left, center and right. I made them by applying to their original parts so that were similar to the original part and fit together. Thank God, I did it. Mark4700
Stunning. Excellent example of how to weather a black plane and make it look realistic.
mhaselden
That's a fantastic depiction of the Drut. I have a 1/48 kit in my stash but I haven't plucked up the courage to start it yet. That said, your model based on the Sword kit is certainly inspiring me. Thanks for sharing!
