Col.
Top stuff Tony. You've made a single colour scheme interesting and given it life without looking forced or artificial

Cookenbacher
That is a very successful surface finish you've achieved Tony, and the exhaust staining looks great too.
kapam
Wow! I should stop looking at pics posted in this section because they reveal how my own abilities fall short. Best to see it as inspiration for future projects, I suppose. That sure is one excellent Hellcat, in my favourite scale.

WildeSau75
Very nice build - thought it's 1/48 until I read that it's 1/72. The painting/weathering is just perfect. Regards, Michael
Mark4700
As always a sublime finish. Weathering is perfect. Just brilliant.
modelglue
Tony you animal! I like your style bud, I'm am in the same sort of streak ATM, working on monotone schemes and going through paint colour trends. That is one very nice hellcat, the exhaust staining is killer. There are going to be more you say? Do I detect a nmf Grumman at some point?

The exhaust stain was sprayed a dirty light grey first, then almost black down the centre... nmf hellcat??? Not seen... And don't want to get sidetracked Too busy- In the f-16 stgb with a pair and need to do a he-111 to order (first commission) Plus need to 'kick the tires and light the fires' back in the tomcat saga and get that back up and running after its Christmas break. Oh and may be moving house end of march/start of april
modelglue
Hey bud, I'll be moving too in June, so lots to do in preparation for that. I have a few in progress but I'll hold off posting until they are RfI. I'm looking forward to more Tomcat saga!
Cookenbacher
Tony, the Hellcat prototype was NMF. It would require some scratch work as well - spinner and landing gear doors (plus probably a bunch of smaller things), but it would look super cool on the shelf.
