StyrenePilot1970
Calling this one done. 1/48 P-40B/C from Airfix. In the markings of the VVS 20th Guards Fighter Regiment, 1st Composite Division based near Murmansk in 1942. Nose panels replaced sometime during service life. Decals from Xtradecal. This bird actually survived the war, was salvaged from Russia and now flies as part of the Flying Heritage Collection in the US. It was restored in AVG colors.A really great kit in some ways, but in others, it seems almost that they were in a hurry to finish the molds and took some short cuts. But it looks like a P-40 and I have a couple more in the stash! Thanks for looking! Edited January 7, 2017 by StyrenePilot1970
Spad
Now, I really like that - love the painted-out markings effect. Never seen that decal sheet - maybe I need to go get me a set! ATB Rick
HansReggelsen
Now that is special - in the most positive way! No sharkmouth on a P-40b/C! You're a brave man! But I like it! Seldom to see a Russian Warhawk and yours is very well done! Thanks for sharing! Cheers Hans J
Wlad
Nice P-40. I like the contrast between the faded olive drab and the two-tone nose panels.
adrianm2
That is a very nice build. Not something you see every day. Top work there mate. Adrian
polo1112
I love it !!! I must say than without shark mouth, the Warhawk looks more like a very aggressive shark. Top notch; great job.
F4u
Great looking P-40 I like the way you have painted it with the camo nose panels and the rest of the airframe olive drab . Guy

Buzby061
Now that's a beauty. I was looking at that decal sheet on the Hannants web site for my P-40 when I eventually get one. A shame they didn't restore it in its wartime scheme. Pete

Bandsaw Steve
Nice! I'm going to get one of these. My 1:48 WW2 collection still does not have a single soviet lend lease aircraft in it - and this might be the project that fills that gap.
