Supertom
If anyone's wondering, apparently you can mount an R-60 and an R-73 on the same wing. I think I read somewhere that you can't. Anyway on this chart below, check out the second page, 8 rows down: Edited December 30, 2016 by Supertom

The source information is just the charts, but no references. I found this on one of the Key Forum threads I stumbled upon. There are a couple more too: http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?55570-Weapons-Charts
exdraken
Thanks! Not the newest thread over there! As far ad I temember all 3 types are of course "mountable and flyable" but only 2 types can be employed for weapons computer limitations.
Hook
Confirmed - you can physically mount both R60 and R73 at the same time, but consequently you can't fire them. Cheers, Andre
rudolf24
ExDraken, you're right. MiG-29 computer can only "see" the two types of missile (2xR-27+2xR-73+2xR-60, computer will only recognize two types, not all).
Supertom
Ah, so the rule of thumb being two missiles. So I could get away with 2x PTB-1150 2x R-73 & 2x R-60. Thanks guys!

Supertom
True, it's my model, but every now and then I get a little obsessive over silly little details. Plus, all the Trumpeter kits only have one set of each missile, which really annoyed me since the majority of the loadouts I've seen have been 4 of the same short range AAM. I'm building an early Ukrainian bird, so most likely it would have had the R-73s.
exdraken
A or C model? - A I guess for being early.... only very few As could actually carry the drop tanks. there are severyl photos out there with R-60 and R-73 combination: scroll down a bit, polish planes and seem quite recent and not like airshow loads.... no tanks though http://www.pwm.org.pl/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=21468 http://forum.krzesiny.org.pl/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1519&start=2835 Edited December 30, 2016 by exdraken
Supertom
9-13. Blue 44, in a similar paint scheme to this one... Edited December 30, 2016 by Supertom
exdraken
cool scheme! that looks like a nice load out as well, no? are there any "we are only investing in our airforce the bare minimum" 9.13 users out there? that is for me the only reason to use the R-60 on a MiG-29.... (apart from when they started to enter service in the 80ies ) alternatives: http://modelsua.com/R-73-soviet-missile-2-pcs-ResKit-72-0017.html https://www.scalemates.com/kits/101567-icm-72212-soviet-air-to-air-aircraft-armament Edited December 30, 2016 by exdraken
