Sadly the loss of raised detail due to the amount of sanding needed on the kit will necessitate re-scribing the surface detail anyway so it looks like you are faced with the thousand screaming hours which ever way you turn. Still, they say that suffering is good for the soul: this is of course BS but people say it anyway. Not to worry though Harry, we will be thinking of you. Well, thinking we are glad it is you on this occasion and not us but thinking of you all the same! Hope that helps. I doesn't? There's no pleasing some people!
