Andy341
Hi, I thought it time to post on here after a couple of years reading. I was moved by reading the book 'Devotion' which relates the story of Thomas Hudner, who won the Medal of Honour trying to save Ensign Jesse Brown (the first black US naval aviator), during the battle around the Chosin Reservoir. The aircraft depicted is the aircraft he flew on the day he won the Medal of Honour, whilst flying with VF32 from the USS Leyte on 4 December 1950. The aircraft is a 1/48 F4U-5 from Trumpeter. jean
The Corsair of Jesse Brown crash landed on a snow-covered landscape and Hudner put his own plane down nearby. There was just a lot of snow, and that comes out clearly in the photos of the diorama. I like it! JR
