I find it nicer looking than the MiG-19S.

Takes all sorts I suppose...

... let's face it, neither will win a beauty contest although to my mind the MiG-19S has a certain brutish charm.

Yes, I'd agree with Laurent and ForestFan, formation guides

They are station keeping marks - when they are lined up the aircraft are in the correct echelon position when flying in formation.

The J-11b has a similar system - yellow bars on the wingtip launch rails that line up with yellow bars on the spine when they are in the correct formation.....

I put them on my Trumpeter J-11B - although I did not get the angles quite right.

That's my vacform Q5 BTW......... http://www.flankers-site.co.uk/model_fantan.html

And an excellent model at that Flankerman !

I took the plunge and ordered 6 from Luckymodel

Anyone have any details of camo schemes on Sudanese and North Korean examples - I do not know whether they had/have the A-5C  version - I found this video by the BBC on the Sudanese Fantans some excellent images in it

Looking forward to it.  Where did you order from?

Luckymodel. They say they're out of stock though, I'm not sure if they're backordered or if they haven't gotten them yet.

The Fantan has reached our Dutch shores as well, and it does look nice in the box.

Just a question - would anyone know what type the LGB-like bombs not mentioned in the instructions are?

Cheers,

Andre
