I'm really enjoying your diorama instalments Adey, they give me a nice dose of nostalgia. They take me back to a time when the RAF had lots of aeroplanes that were designed for specific roles and aircraft weren't all grey. This gave us enthusiasts, spotters and modellers a wonderful selection of types to record, photograph or build. So, you've become my supplier and this plastic junkie needs a regular fix Thanks again for sharing them.

adey m
A fabulous 1/144 scale diorama seen at Scale Model World of an actual event that happened. On 3 March 1946 a Railway Air Services Dakota took off from Northolt Airport in London on a flight to Glasgow. The aircraft failed to gain height due to ice and crashed onto a house in Ruislip, London. All five occupants of the Dakota were able to climb down from the roof and nobody was hurt in the house.
