sofiane1718
Hello! Academy is going to make a new tool of the F-15E and after that F-15K in 2017: http://mmzone.co.kr/mms_tool/mt_view.php?mms_db_name=mmz_media&mms_cat=[기획]&no=1234 And Google translation: http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?from=&to=en&a=http%3A%2F%2Fmmzone.co.kr%2Fmms_tool%2Fmt_view.php%3Fmms_db_name%3Dmmz_media%26mms_cat%3D%5B%EA%B8%B0%ED%9A%8D%5D%26no%3D1234
PhantomBigStu
Another is welcome especially as this will be easier to acquire over here, interesting to see how it compares to the new GWH one, any ideas of release date, hopefully it will be in time for the F-15STGB
Giorgio N
Interested to see the kit when it's ready, I wonder if Academy will follow the "easy assembly" route of their 1/72 Phantom and Super Hornet for this one or will go back to more traditional kits
Shrek51
I thought the new GWH one was 1/48?, I,m a very happy boy if its 1/72.

Phantome
Will be great if it's not a snap kit with multi color sprues which I really detest. Would rather pay more for a definite GWH kit in that case. Hasegawa ain't too shabby either!

Whilst I understand the sentiment as I know some of acadmeys snap fit stuff is a bit lacking like the t-50 and the kf-16, but their phantom is a super kit

drake122
I am sorry for being slightly off-topic here, but may I ask, is anyone doing a F-15 Silent Eagle in 72nd scale? Or is it too early for that...

As the Silent Eagle program has been cancelled, it's very unlikely any company will ever do a kit, apart maybe one of the smaller companies specialised in resin kits of prototypes

PhantomBigStu
Hoping this is hitting the shelves soonish, would be nice to do a side by side build with the hasegawa for the F-15 STGB Edited April 5, 2017 by PhantomBigStu
Phantome
Wanna bet single piece canopy as per their Super Bugs? (Bracing for disappointment)
172flogger
It is M.C.P line, easy build is expected
charlie_c67
Question is, will it take after their F-4 or F-16 MCP kits. Here's hoping for the former...

PhantomBigStu
Hmm not entirely sure about it, something doesn't look right about he canopy, might just be the fact I'm on the small screen in poor light and it's missing he painted franes Edited April 11, 2017 by PhantomBigStu
4scourge7
Thanks for the sprue shots Homebee. Initial reaction is `ooh don`t like the look of those `burner cans`. But, do I see the `turkey feather` option on the sprue shots? Difficult to tell, but this would allow Israeli F-15I to be built from the box (with minor tweaking), along with appropriate AM decals from Skys or Isra. I take it there`s a second weapons sprue, out of shot, to allow for two tanks, two Sidewinder, two AMRAAM etc? There`s room for optimism here. I`m optimistic. Let`s hope we finally have a F-15 Strike Eagle that doesn`t require a substantial outlay of groats to bring up to code. Cheers, Ian (optimist)
madcat911
Looks like the PW featherless cans are in the closed position with their actuator rods molded on. The other feathered cans on the same sprue could be GE cans but it is hard to make out from the photo. Mark
ICMF
Given that the kit is from Academy, I'd put money on them being GE engines (or more accurately, Samsung Techwin, I guess).

MikeR
Doesn't look all that bad, certainly could be the basis of a good model if you want to put some elbow grease into detailing it. Hannants have it listed at £24.99: LINK. Mike.
4scourge7
SWEET! Enclosed `Turkey Feather` cans (with internal detailing), gunloading fairing, intake trunking, even the tiny GPS dome near the airbrake. And that annoying gap that I always seem to leave between the CFT and airframe is no longer a problem. Optimism rewarded! Where`s a set of Sky`s decals F-15I Ra`am sheet? I have a mind to perform. Can this be, the actual, accurate F-15E in 72nd, at long last? Initial verdict: Looking good, I says. Cheers, Ian
Phantome
Do I get a prize for correctly guessing they would only bother with a one piece canopy? What a waste...
