Given that by the time they were re-engined the Israeli SMB.2s have been long relegated to ground attack duties, not really important and more than compensated by the increased payload and survivability.

It is quite logical on a ''sales potential'' point of view that the next 1/48 scale project for Special Hobby / FRROM could be the Dassault MD.454 Mystère IV, that have an operational career in the Air Arms of : France (241 delivered) ; Israel (61 delivered) ; and India (110 delivered) ; 😎 SharkOwl

Bozothenutter
Is the MB Mk.6 the correct seat for a French SMB.2? Or did it have a specialised version? What did the Israelis use?

What did the Israelis use? AFAIR THE MB was fitted to the Sa'ars sold to Honduras. The israeli planes used the original seat. Will confirm later.
Fukuryu
@Bozothenutter, according to the book "Les chasseurs Dassault - Ouragans, Mysteres et Super Mysteres" French SMB.2s where equipped with a Sud Aviation 10-100-7 ejection seat, built under license from Republic. Good from 80 kt. and 500 feet. The MB Mk.6 brought zero-zero capability.

Saluti Giampiero That's why I asked the question, I thought the Mk.6 was a bit 'out of sequence' as well. Hoping an aftermarket specialist will make specific seats/cockpit for it. IMO not worth the asking price for the printed edition, and barely for the digital one. It's very old and very basic, around the same age as the one I quoted above but far less comprehensive, even when is just covering one subject versus three for the other.
