iluvflying
I am looking to build this kit as a Debonair, and haven't found a build article. Any help appreciated. Edited December 11, 2016 by iluvflying

Jessica
Here's one of the V-tail, and one of the straight tail version built as a V tail. Both kits need a lot of nose weight, and you basically have to sacrifice the engine in order to get it all in unless you pin the model to a base. All it really needs is some seat belts, otherwise it can be built straight from the box. Edited December 11, 2016 by Jessica
iluvflying
Thanks. Replicating a friend's Debonair. Much harder to find civil colors than military ones.
Jessica
Then you'll want that straight tail kit
Space Ranger
You mean "Minicraft," I take it. Minecraft is a video game. Here are some on-line articles I found by doing a search for "Minicraft 1/48 Bonanza" (hint, hint): http://modelingmadness.com/review/civil/previews/11670.htm http://modelingmadness.com/review/korean/us/staabsv35.htm http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/48/t/157435.aspx http://web.ipmsusa3.org/content/beechcraft-bonanza-f33 Edited December 11, 2016 by Space Ranger Post incomplete. wallyinoz
The latest boxing (about 3 years ago) has an extra Debonair (straight tail and 3 bladed prop) sprue which makes it easier! I have a spare kit if you want to go down this route http://www.aussiemodeller.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7913&p=60200&hilit=bonanza#p60200 cheers wal PS I bought a couple of these as I thought it would make a conversion to a Baron easier, (it doesnt the tail is not the same)
alancmlaird
Can I suggest using lead roof-flashing for nose-weighting - it comes in sheets about 4mm thick, can be cut with scissors and is easy to hammer or file into shape to completely fill a small area like an engine bay. Have a look at my BEA Herald and DH Dove builds on current Airliner III and KUTA IX. Good luck with the Debonaire - a conversion I have planned in 1/72 scale - I have alread built a 1/72 Bonanza and the lead filling kept the tail up! upnorth
You might consider tungsten putty as a nose weight too: http://www.tungsten-putty.com/
