harveyb258
Hi guys and thank you Endeavour. Time for a bit of an update. A few months ago I made a start on the Weber carbs, but I couldn't get them to look right....the intake manifold was way too large and the rest (body and trumpets) were too small, so I re-made them over the holidays. The manifold plate is made from alu and detailed with T2m bolts and the pipes are made from 3mm alu tube with a 2mm inner tube CA'd in place. These were then rough-turned on the dremel and finished by hand. The trumpets are hand-turned from alu pop-rivets. The main body is 3 and 4mm brass tubes soldered together with 2mm alu inserts and the mounting plates are 0,3mm brass sheet. The 4 plates are 0,2mm tin, drilled to join the float-chambers and lids together in the next stage. That's all for now, folks! I hope you enjoy and thanks for watching! Cheers, H

harveyb258
Hi chaps! Time for a bit of an update, methinks....after countless failed attempts, I now have one weber almost complete. The body is made of slices of resin sandwiching tin, with detailing made from brass and nickel-silver tubing of various diameters. There's still a bit more raised detailing to add, then a thorough tidying up before a couple of etch-primer coats.....the intention now being to cast in white-metal....so that should be fun! Watch this space! I hope you enjoy and thank's for watching guys! Cheers, H
