I haven't finished one build over the last four years for this or that reason but have now over 30 completed cockpit builds - I know something wrong with me, but I have fun building cockpits and isn't that what counts? And as a bonus, unfinished models are much easier to store. So as you can see, you are not alone and I am sure there are more of us not finishing a build! As long as you have fun all is good. And if you have some spare time over Christmas, why not make use of the 25% rule, that is as long as a build hasn't progressed over 25% of the complete build, it is ok to enter it in the group build. It was missing the canopy, a tail wing strut and the decals are all cracked up. I bought a vac canopy for it. Hannants had just one left, and at a discount too. The tail strut I can make, decals can come from my spares The main problem is my computer. Its got severely corrupted and I can only get on internet, or use the comp at all, for 4 to 5 minutes then I have to shut down and reboot. It’s a shame, the Stuka looks great with the wings folded, as do most aircraft in my opinion! With just some prototypes being build for the Graf Zeppelin,I dought we will ever see a kit with the folded wings. The one for the Graf Zeppelin that already had folding wings would be the Fieseler Storch as recon plane. Or the Arado 196 without the floats and some type of fixed landing gear. But the Gods have been unkind and blackmailed me into buying the Airfix 1/72 Ju 87 B-1... I did resist! ...for a short while... So I might as well be a total weakling and ask you to put my name on the list. It is not an original kit, but it is a lovely kit, and I know I will thoroughly enjoy what little I build!!! JohnT Posted January 2, 2020 Share Posted January 2, 2020 Boys and Girls I am not sure if this has been noted before but I was having a few issues and a ponder in planning my build ahead of the starting gun. The cockpit was troubling me and I was searching the net for information. I came across theses references on WW2aircraft.net which are the original service and manuals in German plus other interesting stuff Lots of photos, diagrams of bits rarely if ever seen and if you need to have a wiring diagram for the electrics with voltages in German its all there plus a shed load of stuff I cant understand but I assume is not what the crew get to eat for breakfast. Looks like one booklet is on how to bomb up your own Stuka.
