corsaircorp Posted March 14, 2018 Author Share Posted March 14, 2018 Thomas Paul Michael Cooper-Slipper was born on 11th January 1921 at Kinver, Staffordshire, a grandson of the vicar. He was educated at King Edward VI School at Stourbridge and was a candidate for an RAF short service commission after leaving school in September 1938. On the 8th Cooper-Slipper destroyed a Me109 and damaged a Do17, on the 11th he damaged a He111, on the 12th shared a Do17 and on the 15th he destroyed a Do17 by ramming. His aircraft had been hit by return fire during the attack on German bombers. He lost control and collided amidships with the Do17 over Marden, losing his own port wing. Cooper-Slipper baled out and was slightly injured landing at Church Farm, Marden. His Hurricane, L2012, crashed at The Leas, Yalding. On 27th September he damaged a Me109. Decision made ! My BoB Hurricane will be L2012 Cooper Slipper has gone to school in Stourbridge ! That tell me Something.... Okay, will now look for good ??? pics of that particular Hurricane ! Sincerely. But I worked on the Heritage rag wing, Malditos bubbles !!! white putty did'nt stick to the resin surfacer stick but did'nt fill the holes Let's try the CA glue ! So I start to make a new part in plasticard ! The resin lug is far more thick than the part, and this resin is really hard, to little a part to call on the beaver ! I still need my fingers for fgurther modelling ! The office of the first Hurri is almost done, resin seats for the 2 others are ready In between, I started to Flory my Frightning, Look great ! Finger crossed for the next step !!😖 FLRXZBTRG varnish, I'm afraid now ! And I also started to sand my poor almost finished Seafire 😭 Enjoy a relaxing modelling clad Sunday ! Sincerely. I mean this pic Then, I showed it on a FB group and Roy Sutherland tell me that the harnesses were ill placed...😩 And send me this picture as an example ! Beside it, is the Eduard plan wich is no more accurate for the Hurricane ! So Thank you Roy, here's the rectified seat ! These days are pretty busy, my job plus the hospitals... So Thursday was a day off but I get to the doc again for my hip ! Surgery is now necessary, he was astonished that I still was walking AND working. So I have to make an appointment and he start sharping his chainsaw, I'll be a bit more of a Terminator in a few weeks Then I knrw that Wednesday was a job day plus some help to give to SWMBO so I prepare 2 meals together !! Let's now play @Nigel Heath and go on spaghetti Bolognese for Thursday, a recipe given to me by an italian woman ! Meanwhile, I prepare this ! rabbit with plum Aaaaaaaaand ??? Yup Dears, A blue Chimay, that give a REALLY tasty saus, since the rabbit has to cook slooooowly that was intended for wednesday !! One can Believe me that was GREAT !! In the province of Liège, one can find this saus with your french fries, you just have to ask for "sauce Lapin" Far better than the 🤬🤬 mayonaise !! Now, I go to the Bench, some Hurries, Corsairs and a Firefly are waiting for me... And Never can a Gentleman resist to these mermaids enchanting songs Listen…. 🎶sand meeee, Rub meeeee, glue meeeee, paint meeeee🎶 So, however I far from being a gentleman I go !! The grey part is the Classic Airframe one ! corsaircorp Posted November 8, 2018 Author Share Posted November 8, 2018 Hello Dears, By luck and a bit of calculation, I think about to cut the belly of the Recce Hurri To make room for the camera, as I read some web page, this Recce version is very oftenly made on the field. Some have 2 or 3 cameras, I opted for 2 camera ports I also read that for some COG reasons, the pilots prefer to carry only one camera. The way I did. And I will use once again the Barracuda camera. Ok Dears, enjoy SMW for the ones who get up there ! You will have the brand new Tempest well ahead of us !! Sincerely. Usually, I enjoy the weighted wheels but this one is merely a flat one...😡 The unused parts from the Eduard Spitfire will once again be a donor… I hope at least Now there is some plasticard… Putty And sanding ahead ... It's not a step but a stairway 😩 And sorry Mister Plant… This one did'nt go to Heaven !! Ok Gents, Thanks for the support and the kind words !
