corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Since this thread is now a 6 Corsair building I must be carefull, I was engulfed in my props today ! corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Got to do Something else than Spitfires ! So... Yes, there's another Brit Navy bird in the batch of Corsairs I was about to use the Tamiya Engine But... Have a look, No, I can't sorry, just another resin PW 2800 to build for me ! Sad to say but the HB one is better, however HB had a better shot on its late PW 2800 The early one is a bit less realistic but I will sleep on it ! I was about to make 2 VF-17's  F4U-1A but I glued the FAA radio gear in my Otaki one So that mean that the choice is Brit or Kiwi ??? Surely Ronnie Hay in the BPF ! Take care and Carpe Diem ! Sincerely. Corsaircorp (and it's justified)

And do it once again, CC! This is what I'm trying to do with the exhaust collectives; as they come in the 1/32nd scale Tamiya kit:    You see...???  I'm using 2.5mm wire with the insulation to replicate each collective, but I'd like if there were a scheme of how each collective is comprised of. I think it's three exhausts per tube, but still I'm missing an idea of how the lower ones look like. Too bad the 1/48 kit doesn't come with them. Cheers, CC, mate!  Unc2 Edited November 1, 2017 by Uncle Uncool Imgur is driving me bonkers! 4

Thanks for the piccy. Y'know I thought about getting the pieces for the manifold from the 1/32 kit to no avail. I guess I could copy them in 1/48 scale for my kit. Failing that, I was told there's a very good rendering of the whole manifold scheme - tube by tube - by illustrator Rikyu Watanabe in The Great Book of World War II Aircraft. The book is just $5, problem is P&H is over $50 because the weight of the book is over ten pounds...  Dunno whether or not you or anyone is familiar with this book. I've ordered it anyways, book should be here next week. It's quite a nice collection of aircraft the book depicts.   Will scan the scheme if it's of use to you. I was told there are also good illustrations of the cockpit, landing gear and stuff. Cheers, CC  Unc2
corsaircorp
Hello Uncle, No, first time for me to hear about this book ! Seem great, I understand P&H is always a problem depending of the countries. Look France is a mere 21 Kms from my house. But if I order even a review in France, it's 12 to 14 € So I order in UK or Germany, US and China offer very nice price but here in Belgium, Thank to the Europe, it's severely taxed ! 50€ of taxes for a kit that cost 35.... Wish you will find the things you're looking for ! The 1/32 Tamiya Corsair is a brand new mould, the 1/48 one is almost 25 years old... Have a nice modelling time ! Sincerely. corsaircorp
Hello dears, I picked her back and reshape her undersides.... corsaircorp
Hello dears, The last modelling evening of 2017 has been devoted to SANDING of all sorts ! I worked on my HB F4U-4 but Dears, I think that there's a problem of symetry !! But I did'nt see what and where ???? So, next RFI will be a Sherman and a Mustang or a Focke Wulf 190D-9 Then there will be jets ! F-4B Phantom, Lightning F.6 but the first will surely be the F-94C.... Seafires will be in hot pursuit !! FR.47 or Mk XVII ?? Plus some kits started years ago, in some case almost 30 years .... So, take care you both and have a great new year eve ! Thank for the support and the sharings ! And long life BM ! Really like you all ! Thanks, Sincerely, Corsaircorp

corsaircorp
Hello Dears, The Otaki has been englicised ! I used anaesthesic, No corsair has been harmed in the process I used the Hobbycraft wing as a jig, the engine has all his cylinders, I will start now the rockers actuators ! There will be Corsairs in my 2018 Yearbook.... I bet, Corsairs and Seafires... Sincerely. CC 1
corsaircorp
Hello dears, Worked on my Pratts today, I was missing thin plastic rods, and I searched my paraphernalia... To found this Not fuse wire, this one is more rigid ! That came from a flower shop, now they will be very décents pushrods Compared to the plastic one The CMK will go in the nose of my Tamiya Corsair, destined to depict "Big Hog" from my late friend John T. Blackburn And the QB one will go in the nose of the Otaki one, that will be labelled TRH ! Thanks for watching ! sincerely. CC
