If you come in Belgicae one day...

I did spend a few weeks in Brussels over two different trips back in 1998 (well, make it a couple of months in total), but it was for work and I couldn't get around much (except the occasional visit to Waterloo).

And, I didn't use to drink beer back then, so it was a pretty sad stay... luckily, I did like chocolate (I still do), so staying in a hotel near La Grande Place was a good chance to visit the small chocolate shops... :tasty:  :D

Heavy pain in the back but at least....

I get it...

IMG_20210610_155200

Such a pain in the ... Barely seen so much stupidity in conception.....

IMG_20210610_155220

My van is full of van's parts....

Now, cleaning all up, replace the clutch and replace all the stuff...

Whithout forgetting a nut or a clips....

I'm already sweating when I think about replacing the gearbox....

And @perdu did you tried to inject WD40 in the bearing ??

It's just like me, we mechanics know how far we can get too far....

But one day....

I'm on such a day....

And I hate it too....

Add to this a thousand bucks for healing the great dane that got a serious spinal chord problem...

My mother who is creating a mess in the retirement house....

And my father who can no longer face his bills....

No wonder that my clock and lungs are winding down and downer....

Okay, chin up, Bench time soon....

Dear @The Spadgent absolutely sorry for the thread drift...

I did'nt realise that I was on your thread... I'm a bit confused these days....

Sorry again my friend...

Sincerely.

Let me introduce you to this gentle Lady....

The Moaning Lisa? Just in case you thought I had been cured. (I've been slowly working on my 'Great Escape' from the Naughty Corner- trying to tunnel out, using a Swann-Morton I found on the floor; things were going well until I  ran into a big pile of empty ale bottles that somebody had piled up...looked like one of the freakin' pyramids!) :giggle:

Mike

Seriously, CC- the Corsairs are coming along nicely, and I do believe I see that handmande spoiler on the RH wing LE! Bonus points!

Well Gents,

Here we are, this one for @Shalako

I just thin the trailing edge, then insert it in between the flaps.

Sincerely.

CC

I will attempt to replicate your work during the upcoming weekend, because a long time ago I made the mistake and tried to place the flaps in the down position, as when the aircraft is parked.

I just have to check the "box of doom" as I would like to call that contains all my previous builds/ half-builds (talking about going back a few decades!)

My dad was a mechanic and I can confirm the unnecessary "weightlifting" when there are tools for this job. On the other hand, this is something that I admired at him. His ability to lift such heavy machinery as is a car's engine without the right tools, only his hands. And he never had back problems, go figure!

P.S.: engines from cars like the VW Scirocco and the Mercedes Benz 230.

Escaping the naughty corner ??? Why for ?? I think about welcoming tourists....

The pyramid of empty bottles is something that must be seen at least once in a life....

I did this spoiler because the one from Tamiya is a bit tiny...

Then the flap spanner is too thick....

Ah, modellers are hard to satisfy....

One more corsair in WiP is always a good new !!

I organize my box of doom in tiny bag, that way it's easier to find parts...

The Mercedes engine is really heavy....

I'm glad for your dad, that's quite a luck...

I pay for working outside whithout regard for the weather....

Whatever, It has to be done, so I'll do it !!

Thank you friends...

Very glad for the prop, Are you going to hang it on the wall ??

I have a wooden prop from an ULM, but I don't think that Mrs CC will tolerate it on the wall....

Errr.... I fact I think that there is someone somewhere who take pleasure in beating a voodoo puppet of me or my Great Dane....

She started to grow better....

Wifey use some kind of pasty to lure her in taking her pills....

But the canister fell on the soil and Nokya swallowed it....

IMG_20210612_231921

Just to let you appreciate the size of the canister....

I was about to rest a bit and modelling.... But NO !!

Back to the Vet at 2130....

Surgery again....

199703024_589018655417036_5637817269099180962_n

But the vet caught the culprit...

IMG_20210613_103708

And DANG !!!

800 bucks gone..... We are bored, exhausted and stranded now....

That's why I did'nt get to BM these days...

I resumed working but evening work days....

On the plus side, I found a EA-6B for a very nice price... The Kinetic one of course...

Tomorrow a bit of bench time unless something wrong happen.... Once again....

Sooooo, fingers crossed, believe me I also cross my toes... Who knows....

Thank for the support Gents !!

Sincerely.

Re the Prop, I will see where I am allowed it, it was SWMBO'S Grandad's Prop and she said yes to me having it before I knew it was coming my way so hopefully this will help in the displaying of it!!!

Take care fella

Hello Dears,

I thank you all for the support and healing wishes

@giemme, @Dunny, @Corsairfoxfouruncleand @bigbadbadge

Wifey thank you too, Nokya is improving slowly...

A bit groggy with all these drugs but...

That's incredible, she's 6 and a half years old and she never saw a vet...

And now in a mere 20 days, she has surgery, scanner and almost 10 differents vets....

That also delayed the fixing of my van, more to come soon on this front...

And I received this from the mailman !!

IMG_20210615_103447

I used to have the old Airfix one, but a modeller friend was wearching for one....

I tell them to buy a Kinetic one but he wanted the Airfix one for sentimental reasons....

But then, I missed some opportunities to buy the Kinetic one for my collection...

Until last week... Then I got this one for a bargain price....

It will look great beside the FA-18F that I will restart in 2022....

Stay safe Gents !!

Sincerely.
