corsaircorp
Hello Dears!! So as an answer to @FlyingPigg.... Sorry for the late answer, but I've been fairly busy these days.... The pylons that interested you were effectively used by U.S.N, but not widely... Here are the frequently used pylons on machine gun armed Corsairs... Zero lenght or full lenght But, there are also these ones.... None of these are used on -5 or -4B Cannon armed corsairs have staggered pylons... Now, the AU-1 is turning the table once again... But 5 pylons then.... same stand for the FAU-7.... BUT.... There are always a "BUT" the -7 can have this.... These canoe shaped long pylons seem to have been widely used by the latin american Corsairs.... And still, always on machine gun armed -4.... Now, I stand to be corrected by my cousin @Corsairfoxfouruncle Or by our specialist of hooked aircraft.... @Tailspin Turtle All the photos on this post are intented for educational purpose and can be deleted on demand... Sincerely. CC 5

Corsair corp is not usurped methink !! How about your trip in Dormartiansetshire ??? When CC make a conversion, it is not only a cosmetic one.... Working on the wings.... Of the mother of all Corsairs.... These Hobbycraft Corsairs were not too bad, but they are cheap..... So no worries about cutting all out.... Flotation bags panels added.... Modifying the Ailerons and then the bomb bay.... It will perhaps be my Corsair for 2022..... Stay safe Gents !! Sincerely. CC

And re re recreating a pitot tube because I pinged it away for the 3rd time.... The carpet monster is the winner this time.... The tail unit of the F-84 is painted too.... Still I have to replace the air brake and on we go for another NMF..... I must think about placing a more accurate gun sight too.... Not too bad.... Thanks for the support Gents !! Happy modelling to you all !! Sincerely. CC

Chris Now, I will try a Corsair year !! Finishing 2 or even 3 would be a grand bingo !! The XF4U has been started moons ago but every time I discover some things to add or modify.... Now, I think it's fine.... Come on too Chris, have a Corsair done !! a BPF one ?? 9 hours ago, AliGauld said: I know you'll get one over the line and I'm looking forward to seeing it. Saving it as a collector.... I'm tempted into a F4U-3.... Making it from the last Hobbycraft one... Thank you for the kind support Gents !! Sincerely. corsaircorp
Hello Gents, Following a chat with a french friend of mine... Shhht !! He found that I make mainly british aircrafts I started this one.... Not an easy model at all.... First evidence.... It sport stripes.... A look at the box art will show a full metal wing.... Then, the belly stand to be corrected... Just like the -4.... Well, one good point, they put the fabric covered wings... Which is a feature of the -7 as evidenced here.... The high blown canopy is almost there too.... BUT..... BUT..... HB ?? What's this ????? The chin air intake is wrong... Just like all the -4.... They add the cheeks of the -5 cowling..... The AU-1 have the cheeks whithout the air intake.... Raaaahhh Will we have a good Corsair out of China one day ????? Well, sourcing a complete -4 cowling now..... I'm back at the bench after my evening work week.... See you tomorrow Gents !! Stay safe... Berserk CC
corsaircorp
Hello Gents !! Engraving the old Hasegawa -4... the plastic is pretty hard, so it is easy to slip away.... No, no, don't you ask how I know it.... More to come soon on the Corsair's front.... Have fun at the bench !! Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Aaaaand here we are again.... One of the Academy faultis the shallow wheel wells.... On we go.... I will make one at a time and will cheat a bit on the landing gear..... First one done.... Stiil 3 to do, since the Minicraft -5 suffer from the same problem.... About Minicraft, they did a more accurate interior than Hasegawa.... Then, after havin' a look at the work of our distinguished @Martian, I think why not using more kit parts instead of resin ones ??? Let's try it, I cut the Hasegawa Seat ..... For the ones who did'nt follow.... The blue wing came from an Academy -4 Plus the old Hasegawa -4 There are two -5 on the bench, Then there still is an Otaki and an Hobbycraft -1s Aaaaand the -7 now.... Funny is'nt it ?? My Dear @The Spadgent will need some excedrin again... More Corsair's adventures to come soon... Since a friend of mine sent me a pic of a veeeeery interessant if not irresistible Corsair..... And you both know that I can resist anything but temptation..... Cursaird CC.... 8
