HL-10
Bronco's 1/35th scale Humber Scout Car, nearly straight out of the box. They provide a commander figure who bears a remarkable resemblance to Michael Caine as JOE Vandeleur from "A Bridge too Far", hence the title of this piece. Its a fairly straightforward build, a full interior, including the engine is provided. The decals for the Guard Armoured Division featured the wrong colour for the symbol so I sourced some after market ones. Painted with Tamiya acrylics. screen capture windows photo host photo host photo host photo host photo host photo host Thanks for looking

dreadeddrew
Good build(love the weathering) & good quote, reminds me of a game my brother & I used to play........we'd quote random lines from movies & the other had to identify the movie, good nostalgia trip. Cheers Andrew P.S. "this is the wide part!"

dreadeddrew
Sorry for repeating your post Fatfingers,'fraid I missed it due to early onset dementia! 3 hours ago, fatfingers said: 'This section of road were on, it's the wide part' Loved the movie, except for Gene Hackman & his pronunciation of the word "Germans"! Actually HL-10,in one of the photos where he's looking from L to R,he looks more like Mr Incredible from the kids movie The Incredibles.......or maybe Ian Dowie (ex of West Ham Utd!)

Thanks for the comments and compliments, very much appreciated ! I like the idea about the quotes game. Did something similar with a friend I e-mail regularly, but they were all quotes from the same film, I think by the end we had covered the whole script! tonyot
Excellent little Humber,....great stuff!! That film has a lot to answer for because it made me want to be a paratrooper! As for quotes my favourite is "Sorry.....we haven`t got the facilities to take you all prisoner,.......was there anything else?",......Maj. Digby Tatham-Warter was the real officer who carried the brolly,..... who I was privileged to meet! Great model, Cheers Tony
