Frank083
Very nice work so far & impressive surgery! I’ve started the Seafire 46 from Airfix couple weeks ago. Lot’s of extra work to do but as you said, Seafires are not enough seen! I’ll take some inspiration from your build to finish mine...😋 keep the good work coming up! HI Chris if you used a Hase IX, then the rear fuselage is noticeably undersized. the Airfix XII fuselage is too deep, but can be scraped and sanded back to size reasonably easily, you need to take about 2mm of the top and bottom (1 mm either side) Neat work CC.

corsaircorp
Hello Dears, I had a twist with the resin, See It suffer from a teenage acne !! 🤬🤬💩 First time I use this resin, bought by my friend @BS103 Astonishingly, for the little parts it worked well See But, I'll try to save it, there is a step, look like if the resin has dilated a bit.... But still manageable Will try to sand slowly, if not, I'll buy my usual resin... I'm sad... Have a good modelling time ! Sincerely. CC

corsaircorp
Hello Dears, As it will be a question for both of you, I did'nt show the 2 Ladies right now... But you can have an idea of what has been done in looking at that…. Knowing that lots of these parts will not be used at all.... For instance, the propellers… It will be changed on the 2 Seafires So, the OOB one will not be completely an OOB one But as I totally dislike to waste Something, I have used the bad resin Seafire nose and That's was not a good idea at all !!! How can I be so stupid sometimes Have a great modelling time… And take care friends !! Sincerely. CC

corsaircorp
Hello Dears, I've lots of problems to upload my pîcs on Flickr… I mailed them about it, now waiting for an answer !! Still in my work of comparison in between a modified Seafire and an OOB one, I decide to hollow the exhaust stack from Airfix ! And here we are !! On the left are the Quickboost one ! Then, I throw myself in another swearing party !! Rockets !! On the right side, cleaned up rockets and thinned fins, on the left an example of what's left to do !! Now that the lady is wearing a coat of primer, I can show her to you ! I, once again, get in Germany for celebrating the 18th anniversary of our first encounter ... Very nice place ! Peanut was there too ! Very scenic place !! And very fine white wine !! Then a visit to the wolves ... We've been Lucky enough to see this !! Prepare your ears and hide your dog at about 3 minutes !! I wondered myself about the first explorer or the hunters in the cold night high up in the north…. Could be frightening, but it was a great luck for us to be there at the right time... Thanks a lot wolvies…. Sincerely. CC

Now, one thing will be changed on the 2 Seafires !! The Propellers !! Here we go for a surgery !! I also worked on my 2 next RFI, the Sturmovik is decalled and Floryed ! I broke the propeller of the D-9... So, it's almost fixed now !! More to come soon !! Sincerely. CC

corsaircorp
Hello Dears ! Yesterday was "Ordnance day" Here are the things that will hang under the Seafires's wings And now, it's about the time for me to regret that @Miggers is no longer around here ! Please Friends do not mind the fact that one of the Ladies has been turned into a FR.17 … But one of the 2 Ladies has been seriously modified to conform the real thing !! It's up to you to see wich one is the one that get through Brazilian aesthetic surgery !! They both will receive a corrected spinners and propellers but otherwise one is about OOB !! No Giorgio ! No jokes !! I just changed the seat for a resin one and Added straps and harnesses !! Full OOB is no longer possible to me !! In this pic, one of the modification should be "clearly" visible !! Call on me if you notice it And I do not speak of the bulged Wheel wells some little glitches to work on but sincerely, all that surgery is done for nuts !! To me, after havin' done that, it's not Worth the game ! So, I must say that the Seafire F.17 is quite fine, the only thing that MUST be fixed are the prop's blades ! Doing all that job on the nose and wings is not rewarding at all since the differences are not noticeable ! Sincerely. CC
