Incidentally, Greece and Turkey used angular nose RF-4E's as well (including some ex-Luftwaffe birds) and, a most interesting variant, very late build RF-4E's with the slatted "soft" wing. Cheers, Andre The original RF-4E deliveries to Greece and Turkey were all block 66 airframes with rounded nose profiles and slatted wings (a unique feature to the block 66 RF-4Es). Later on both countries bought some ex-Luftwaffe RF-4Es, and they were all hard-winged and had angled nose profiles. Jens
old_tonto
Thanks guys. this is all really useful information. I think I'll try to find the Hasegawa kit as the build is likely to end up sitting next to my Hasegawa F-4E. Cheers guys.

Overall shape is not too shabby. It does need work in the cockpit, which is quite barren, and it lacks the prominent grilles on the upper and lower intakes and under the forward fuselage, these being represented by decals.
