Biggles87
Good to see this one again. Ooh, an MS 406. I also have one of these in 1/32 from Azur, and if I remember correctly the fit is about as good as your Skynight. John

Thanks for the kind words I have the 1/48 AZ offering and the fit is not better ! Believe me ! Started years ago and she's waiting her turn down the CC's "started kits cabinet" But I will reproduce the one of the Sgt Morlot, shot down at 22 Kms from my house ! Now, I'll try to finish the Skyknight in order to have an american aircraft in my Korean war serie.... For now on , there are only brits in this serie... And the Spit Mk.24 can overpass the F3D... But I think that here is my next RFI Splinter camo... But I don't care a lot since it will be winterized Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Sooo Tailplane glued ! Oh and obviously, sanding in progress !! But, every little thing on this kit has to be sanded and puttied... now, the empty space under the rudder is totally normal... So, I will not have to putty this !! What a piece of luck !! More to come soon in the Douglas factory !! Skyknight and Skyraider on the go this week end !! Take care !! Sincerely. CC

corsaircorp
Grumble Grumble !! Every little thing on this kit has to be corrected or adjusted with SCHIRC !! The dashboard is far too wide for the plane... Cut it in 2 aaaaaaaand sanding, trying and sanding again !! Even if do not look like on the pic the dashboard is uneven on this side !! And no bezels has been harmed in the process !! Luckilly, this side will be covered by a coaming !! More to come soon !! Thank for watching !! Sincerely. But I think, it's done and well !! Now another new, very touching for me !! My daughter has worked this summer, first time for her to enter the world of "Earn your own money" And she was bantering me about my old cell phone... Unable even to get on the interweb... And with a more and more bad camera... See the pic above and below... So I received my birthday gift from my daughter yesterday... So, Don't tell it to the orange skinned duck at DC... But I'm now spyied by the chinese secret service !! I told it to the police... And here's their reaction !! I don't know if it is reassuring !! Sincerely. Thank you Dear Spad, I don't know neither !! Roof is repaired, I must find the way to finance the roof for the whol house... I play at the lottery every week... But... I'll not start the Banshhe now, I have some Sea Furies that make a mess in the stash... So, not too surprisingly, my next WiP will devoted to some more Naval Aicrafts... Sooo Gents, I think that there will be another RFI soon !! Thank John, I'm now a great fan of Flory !! Their skinny sanding stick are great too ! Sincerely. corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Dark green sprayed on my Spitfire .24... Last bits glued on the Stuka... corsaircorp
Helo Dears, Well going to Telford with my son has a consequence ! He now love Chips and fish... Sooo, I did this yesterday !! Another consequence is the Looong squabbling with SWMBO And my elusive computer work for BM... Thinking now of the future Ex Mrs CC... Hasta la vista !! We'll see what tomorrow is made of !! At SMW is found This !! Very usefull little sanding sticks ! It helped me to get this ! And this ! Here was a lore traditional sanding but I'm glad with the result !! Now, the downside of a poorly packed kit... Guess What ?? More sanding ahead... This crack will be a dirty one to erase !! I alo turned the blob that was supposed to be the tail bumper into something more interesting I added a piece of metal rod, since when the Skyknight is on the soil, it seem to be lowered ! On most of the pic I looked at.. At least ... The tailhooks were very oftenly removed by the Marines in Korea, since they operated from land bases ! I think that we get the next RFI... And look who's already sneaking out of the cabinet... Have a great modelling time Gents !! Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Hello @Martian Hale, Here's Percy ! You once more let your car right before my doors.... It's been removed by the cops ! corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Well !! this thread is reaching an end... I started working on transparencies... We see the light ... Sooo I decided to create a part to close up the gap behind the dashboard.. On some pics, I see that there is bits an bobs on there... Well here's the result of some educated guesses... More tomorrow... Let me wish you all a wonderfull 2020 !! Lots of kits on the stash or finished in the cabinet !! Great health !! Love !! Money aaaand Beers !! Sincerely. corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Well, I installed my part, and I think that it look better that way, did'nt it ?? Then, I think about the gunsight.... Aaaand did'nt find it... Soooo, time to look in my stock... Found this... But No, it's more for things like F-84 or F-86... This one is more adapted to the job !! The pics of the actual beast did'nt show it perfectly but, as far as I see, this one will be good... Then, at second sight, I found the kit's gunsight... This tiny Blobby blob of resin will stay away of the dashboard... Decision made I filed on the dashboard to adapt the cutting edge one, it will look far better And more, I put it face to face to the pilot seat, since the dent in the coaming intended to put it on the middle of the dashboard.. Aiming in this case will ruin one's neck !! Well, surely more modelling tomorrow and then... New year eve... Sincerely. CC
