Kallisti Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) This is my second built of this kit from Round2/MPC and I've thrown the book at it, with more lighting int he cockpit, landing lights on the front leg pods, red and green flashing navigation lights, plus added greeblie detail on the walkways, extra decals and a paint job with lots of weathering... The build thread is here http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235005434-22-mpcround-2-eagle-transporter-2/ ...and finally a better attempt at the video showing the flashing lights... Kallisti Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 Thanks guys I am over the moon to be able to say that I entered this model into the Competition at Scale Model World this last weekend and won GOLD!!! My first time winning gold and I am immensely chuffed with it! 10
John Laidlaw Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 As always, well earned - you deserved it! So, what model next?
Kallisti Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 Well currently I'm building an Air-Sea Rescue Lysander in 1:48 1
Eric Mc Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 It's even better in reality. "Over the Moon" is an appropriate emotion to feel when talking about an Eagle Transporter. 1
Will Vale Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Oho, so you're the Andrew who posted this on Starship Modeller - I was thinking it would be too much of a coincidence otherwise. Congratulations, very well-deserved! Cheers, Will 1
tiking Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Do you mind if i feature it on 'large/Studio Scale Model spaceship' Facebook page?
Kallisti Posted November 16, 2016 Author Posted November 16, 2016 I would be very happy for that Charles - send me a link to that page as well please
Gimme Shelter Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 well done on your Gold Andrew - you had a grin like a Cheshire cat when I met you at the foot of the competition floor stairs on Saturday Helen was quite blown away with your work when I pointed it out 10/10 with a well deserved Gold John
Beefy Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 A lovely model and so well built. A most deserved gold. After seeing some of your other model that you have built, I think all of them would win Gold and quite rightly so. 1
