Mike M
Hi, This is a massive long shot! Does anyone have any details of the aircraft flown by Oblt. Wolfgang Neu of 4/JG26 on 11th February 1944 when he claimed his ninth victory. I assume it would be a FW 190A-7 but would like to know what the code number was. If possible I would like the same information for two other pilots, Lt. Lange (6/JG26) and Fw. Mayer (7/JG26) also with regards to 11th February 1944. Cheers, Mike Edited November 1, 2016 by Mike M

JackG
I second Merlin's suggestion of those two forums. I've checked the two books above, and there is a photo of Neu in his FW 190A-6, but the port wing is blocking view of the fuselage number. According to this link, http://www.luftwaffe.cz/neu.html Neu was flying Fw 190A-6 (WNr 530755) “Blue 16” when he crashed in April 1944. Lange http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?p=215290 Looks to be black 6 according to Karsten's post. Mayer http://www.luftwaffe.cz/mayerw.html Not really sure, possibly number 4 but is really stretching it. regards, Jack
