Hi Everybody!

The topic title is in Morse Code, and spells out...MORSE!!

This is My homage to John Thaw, the Chief Inspector's beloved Mk2 2.4.

Built from the Tamiya 1/24 kit, went together with no problems, with the exception of the metal transfers, some of which showed a marked reluctance to stick. Maybe the adhesive had dried out I don't know, but the surface was nice and clean but some still would'nt stick.

Lovely build and great finish, your right about the metal decals not sticking had exactly same problem with my build of this kit.

Cheers Dave.

A great result of a gorgeous car.

Sadly - John Thaw HATED it.

He reckoned it was an un-driveable heap.

The real one was apparently a wreck, but bright and shiny. It was frequently pushed into shot as it wouldn't start.

The car has subsequently been restored and is now lovely.

Your's is a tribute to it.

Hi Everybody!

Sorry for the lateness of this reply,Wife forced Me (:() to go on a Two-Week Cruise down to the Carribean with her............anything for a quiet life!

Thanks for all the great comments about The build, and encouragement on the way!

Not completely happy with the hubcaps, difficult to get sharp definition with plunge moulding, but John ( rs2man) has graciously come to the rescue with the offer of some spares from another kit!:worthy:

Will post another pic when sorted!

Doing a 'wingy thing' next, but there's a Revell 1/16 Samba Van staring at Me from the top of a cupboard that wants converting to a 1958 RHD Camper that was My first ever car! (Wish I still had it!:crying:)

Keep Sticking Guys and Gals!

Cheers,  Pete

Hi Everybody!

A quick update, John ( RS2man ) has been good enough to supply Me with a set of hubcaps from a Revell Jaguar XK120, which I have fitted to My Mk2 :-
