Hi there,

Want to build Tamiya kit in 51st (Highland) Div. ? There is one picture here: http://www.austintilly.nl/EN/fotooud.html it is picture No.14...

Are any better pics than this one ? Who is standing there ?

Is there anyone willing to part a Div. badge and green 62 from Archer sheets to fit Tilly ?

Thanks for looking...

At last!  Something useful to do with the Tilly in the Airfix 1/72 Bomber Support Set.

PS What are the colours of the div sign?  Cole's British Formation Badges of WW2 says red HD and circIe on a blue background, but the photo doesn't look like that - or the red on white used by Airfix in the Bren Gun Carrier kit.

That isn't an Austin Tilly in the Bomber support set, its a Standard Tilly which is correct for RAF usage - Airfix got that correct unlike Tamiya!

One of the Officers standing in the Tilly looks like the King. If so, if you could find the date the photo was taken the other Officer would be the Divisional commander.

I gather that red on white is the correct usage for the 51st HD badge in the First World War but it was changed to red on blue by WWII.

I've been thinking about using the badge from the Airfix Universal Carrier as a shoulder flash on the Tamiya 1/35th scale WW British Infantry. It might need a bit of trimming but it could work.
