Murdo
Hi all, Just coming to the finishing point of the four 1/144 planes I've been building over the last few months (I'm a classic sloth builder).. First one finished tonight and the rest should be in the next couple of days. This is the 1/144 Fairey Battle by Zvezda. It was only a couple of quid and I think it's for wargaming - like the Revell Micro Wings kits. It's a nice wee kit that went together very well with no issues. Paint was Tamiya RAF Green and Flat Earth and Revell Anthracite. Humbrol "Smoke" weathering powder for the exhaust soot effects, perhaps I should have been less sparing with it. Antenna wire is Uschi .005 line - fabulous stuff! Very easy to use and sticks to CA glue well. The canopy framing was my first attempt at using paint on decal paper then sprayed with Halfords clear lacquer. The decal framing was a total pain in the hoop but better than trying to mask and paint it. Mind you, I tried that too, terribly frustrating and nearly binned the kit. The pics: So, hope you like it. Pics of the other kits to follow shortly as I put the finishing touches to them. Edited October 12, 2016 by Murdo
WildeSau75
Nice build - could pass as 1/72 easily. Cheers, Michael

Buzby061
That framing is a challenge in 1/48, never mind 1/144th. Great work. Pete
