Bigmick
My first foray into U Boats or anything maritime related this small, built to go with a U Boat captain bust for our club display at SMW. Paint is Tamiya German grey from a rattle can on the lower hull and Halfords grey primer on top, I used what I had in the paint box, I thought a blue grey enamel wash might change its colour more but no, washes of Mig neutral grey, Humbrol rust and dark green to the waterline then a light wash from the waterline down, my reasoning being streaks won't go below the waterline, am I correct in thinking this, I shall have to study submarine weathering as I'd love to do the Revell 1/72 VIIC. I hope you like. And it will go in front of him. Regards. Mick.
