Oh right! Thanks for the info! I had my three on backorder, so maybe they're on their way! :)

Best regards;
Steve

Edit: Just checked emails...3 Transits on route! :worthy:

That's cool, my dad had one of those. It even had the hatch back, which was quite unusual on the transit apparently. I might have to get one and do it with the bonnet in black with "Silver Sheen" sprayed across it in honour of the one he got from a scrappy after the original one rusted.

It looks wrong with the square headlights. By the time they came in, we didn't get the Transit here any more, so all the ones I've ever seen have had round headlights. I think there's still a couple around, dressed as ice cream vans.

That's interesting. So the Transit didn't get past the Mk1 in Australia. What replaced it?

Japanese. We got Toyota HiAces and Mazda Bongos and all that. And they were a lot more reliable than Transits ever were.

That makes a lot of sense. I've been lucky, my Transit has been pretty reliable so far...but why have a Transit when you can have a Bongo? Always loved that name!

The Bongo was actually pretty small. And underpowered. But not as bad as the little Suzuki (Carry?) 2 strokes we got.
