nuuumannn Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Hi Guys, A photo shoot of a rather reclusive and rare Halberstadt D IV reproduction. The D IV variant itself was rare enough; only three were built, so it is a surprise to see a modern reproduction of it. More photos of the Halberstadt here: http://warbirdswalkaround.wixsite.com/warbirds/single-post/2016/09/23/A-Replica-of-a-Rarity-the-Halberstadt-D-IV 2
Kuro Nezumi Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Good photo shoot of a lovely plane! I wonder if it'll be used as a basis for a new kit.
fredsopwith Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Excellent Pics, shame it's rather crammed in a corner. Do you know who created the reproduction, Is it one of TVAL's?
nuuumannn Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 Hi fredsopwith, all I know is that it was built in the USA some years ago and registered N1388J at one stage. It has flown in recent years; it made appearances at the Classic Fighters airshow at Omaka, where it is based permanently now.
k5054nz Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 (edited) Reclusive? Isn't it on display at the AHC? Built by Carl Swanson and formerly in Frank Ryder's collection. Edited October 16, 2016 by k5054nz
