tonyot Posted October 3, 2016 Share Posted October 3, 2016 (edited) Hiya Folks, I`ve been making quite a few Spits lately and here is one of them,......built from the beautiful little Eduard 1/72nd scale Spitfire Mk.IX kit. Although the subject aircraft,`Eleanor', WZ-GJ flown by Maj. Garth Jared CO of the 309th FS, 31st FG, USAAF is often depicted as wearing a desert scheme, a reference photo shown below shows it to be actually finished in the grey/green day fighter scheme as worn by many other Spit`s flown by this unit; And here is the model, which as usual was painted using a hairy stick!; All the best Tony Edit,.....here is the WIP if anybody is interested,....it is on the MTO GB page; Edited October 3, 2016 by tonyot 17 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
