kspriss
Hi chaps, would anyone happen to know what colour the inner faces of the flaps on a wartime land would have been? I'm thinking silver/aluminium or would they be internal green? thanks Steve
Troy Smith
I'd say Black, but they are rarely seen dropped when on the ground... But...googling 'Lancaster Flaps' gets http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/33343-lancaster-flaps/ brings up a debate, with both black and interior green being referenced. So, quite possibly both, depending on when and where built, as the discussions on cockpit colour, and inside of gun turrets have shown. load of colour pics here, no flaps, but always useful https://www.flickr.com/search/?w=8270787%40N07&q=lancaster HTH?
