Reini78
Because the MiG-21 is gonna be finished tomorrow, my dad starts with the Su-7 of the second Yom Kippur pair. Using the Kopro edition of this kit with Linden Hill Decals to build an Iraqi fighterbomber. And when the Mirage will be finally done, an A-4E Ayit will follow, using a Hasegawa kit with decals from Hobbycraft and Sky Decals Edited September 26, 2016 by Reini78
Reini78
baby steps with the Kopro kit, the kit looks easy but it isn´t.... trying to remove the BKL version wing root bulges to make it look like a BMK

Reini78
exhaust and cockpit tub installed, now trying to get the nose cone in, not that easy, nothing fits right, no real allocation points
Reini78
Slow progress with the beast, glued in the air intake cone, about 5mm more forward then it is shown in the instructions. According to the plan, the cockpit tub should be glued together with the backwall of the nose cone, but if you do so, the tip completely disappears in the fuselage after you apply the nosering, which would be wrong. put some weight into the nose cone, added some more around the cockpit tub using lead paste by Uschi van der Rosten there is a bigger gap between flaps and fuselage, so glued some plastic sheet onto the wing parts to close the gap
Reini78
Big step to victory! fuselage closed, now filling, sanding, re-scribing And as you can see, the air intake cone tip looks out as it should. already made the position lights, they are gonna be painted together with the camo, afterwards washed off again
modelglue
Loving it, not my preferred scale but still very nice to see you working up this kit.
Reini78
managed to get the nose cone in the centre, yeah filler sanded, airbrakes glued on, they are a bit too thick and too small for the closed position so once again sanding, filling.... aidy
Nice choice of subjects. After your struggle with the Su-7, the A-4E will be like a walk in the park.

Reini78
both wings attached, disolved putty was enough there whereas the fin will need some real filler...
Reini78
control surfaces attached to wings and fin wanted to use the Wolfpack resin seat that should fit the kit, it also says that on the package, but the seat is too tall...

toniosky
Good work ! I had the same kind of issue with the resin seat provided in the special edition kit from Eduard. I ended up lowering the cockpit floor and sanding down the seat a bit...

Reini78
used a selfmix leftover paint for the "french beige" landing gear in the works, gonna use only the kit parts, thinned down the thick plastic of the gear cover a bit
Reini78
the Pavla seat for the Su-7 arrived today, height is ok but this time the seat is too wide....either cut that one on the sides or the Wolfpack one at the bottom.. for comparison, kit seat, Pavla, Wolfpack
