walkerccw
Hi there, Everything bush painted using acrylics. After I apply my decals, using Testors Decal Set, I allow them to dry overnight before applying my top coat. I wipe the model down with warm water then apply my top coat. If I use Future I get no problems. If I use Model Master Flat Clear Acrylic, I get a lot of sticky white "goo" on the brush and all over the model. Help. mcdonnell
Hello,CCW - I'm not an expert with acrylics but my guess is that maybe the white 'goo' is a result of the matting agent and paint build-up.A similar problem can occur with enamels.Brushing with either acrylic or enamel is a noble art.We need look no further than our friend 'Tonyot's builds to realise that.Acrylic,by its very nature, will be even more time critical.Post painting and pre-decalling,I brush apply several coats of 'Klear/Future' to all my builds.Again, speed is important but there are no matting agents in this,so no problem. It will be interesting to hear the thoughts of our colleagues on the Forum to this question. Good luck with a solution. All the best,Paul.
